Impacts of Development

As part of a development application Local Councils and other government bodies often require an Arborist report to assess the impacts a development or design may have on existing trees.

Evaluation the impact to trees involves determining what activity will occur near trees based on site development plans and specifications. Assessment must then evaluate the direct injury development will have as well as the long term affect on health and structural stability.

Based on the proposed plans the potential for tree preservation can then be determined for each tree.

All reports are prepared in accordance with Australian Standard 4970 - 2009

Developments where an assessment of impacts may be required include:

·         Sub- division Plans

·         Construction plans for new developments

·         Renovations to existing properties

·         Infrastructure Plans

o   Roads

o   Utilities

·         Grading changes

·         Demolition of existing structures

·         Site Plans

Arborist Reports prepared to assess the

impacts of proposed developments on

existing trees.
